Orfeó Català - Palau de la Música Catalana

The Orfeó Català symphonic choir is an association founded over 125 years ago, whose aim is to promote Catalan culture, particularly its music with special emphasis placed on choir music.

Its concerts range from performances of choral symphony works to programs of choir music mainly featuring traditional music by Catalan composers.

The choir’s great artistic talent has led it to work on a regular basis with Catalan and Spanish orchestras, as well as with various orchestral ensembles from Europe and other parts of the world, with which they go on concert tours.

In order to promote education and make culture an instrument that encourages equality, a total of 213 children and young adults of between 6 and 25 breathe life into the five choirs of the Escola Coral de l'Orfeó Català, an educational, artistic and social project that provides full vocal and musical training to them.

Fundació Fluidra is a patron of the Orfeó Català and our president, Joan Planes Vila, is its treasurer.
